PYRETHRUM

Pyrethrum is an extract from the flowers of the white marguerite Chrysanthemum cineraiaefolium. Already in the early 19th century people used the dried and ground flowers of several Chrysanthemum varieties against all kinds of pests in houses.

Due to the rapid development of the chemical insecticides Pyrethrum had to take a backseat for some time. Today however among great concerns about the environment, Pyrethrum is an important natural agent in the fight against pernicious insects in house and garden. Pyrethrum's natural instability - light and oxygen degrade pyrethrines quickly - works as well in it's favour: there are no residues left after a few hours!

HERBA VETYL liquid contains Pyrethrum extract as well as Piperonyl butoxide (Sassafras root) to activate and stabilize the pyrethrines. It is an excellent natural insecticide which can be used against aphids and other sucking insects in fruit, vegetable and ornamental flower production. As well suitable against biting insects in outside fruit and ornamental flower production. No danger to bees if used at the recommended dilution rate!

Active against aphids, Whitefly and other pests. Pyrethrum is available either as concentrate which needs to be diluted (1ml: 1L water) or as ready to use spray in a 100ml pump sprayer.
