This LOG SPLITTER has an unusual feature: it is driven by a pressure cleaner. The principle of using waterhydraulics has its origin in an ecological university research project. Aim: to reduce the danger of oil spills which are a grave danger to water supplies.
This log splitter uses a few litres of water which are circulated by a pressure cleaner.The water flow powers a ram which pushes the log against a sharp blade. This simple principle results in an amazing performance: splitting speed of 4 -6cm/sec, cutting (not splitting!) of fresh spruce stems with up to 15cm Ø or beechstems with up to 7cm Ø.
Very sturdy chassis, high quality steel blade, adjustable splitting length. Easy to take apart without tools and to transport - e.g. to felling site where it can be used with a pressure cleaner with petrol engine.
Max. log length 70cm. Weight 123 kg.
