Organic Fritillaria Uva Vulpis

This fritillaria has quite striking purplish grey blooms that are tipped with yellow.  It is a native of the western Himalayas and Asia Minor, and prefers rich, well-draining neutral pH soil and a sunny setting.  Dislikes wind. Has the linear leaves and nodding bell-shaped or bowl-shaped flowers of all fritillarias.

In the right conditions Fritillaria Uva Vulpis will naturalize well.  Also calles fox's grape fritillary.

Time to plant: September to November, 15cm deep.
Flowering: March/April
After flowering feed with a balanced fertiliser, dead-head and allow the leaves to die back naturally.
