Mustard Purple Frills
- Mustard greens are mainly a cool season crop and are at their peak in late spring to early summer.
- Keep well watered. Hot weather causes the plants to bolt and their greens to turn unpleasantly bitter.
- Individual leaves are deeply lobed and frilly inside with a finely cut and flatter edge.
- Hot and spicy in salads so use sparingly - young leaves are the best so sow regularly.
