Organic Allium Sphaerocephalon
Organic Allium Sphaerocephalon have dense heads of purple-crimson 'drumsticks'. The flowers open green, then start to turn purple from the top, creating unusual two-tone flower heads. Their attractive curled green leaves will wither before the flowers appear in summer so they are best planted with ornamental grasses or low growing perennials.
Very good for mass planting, prefers light, free-draining soil. Will flower later than other alliums in July and August.
RHS award of Garden Merit, attracts bees and will natutalize if left undisturbed.
Ten bulbs per pack.
