‘Verdil’ is a second-early spinach variety with large pointed tender leaves. It is recommended for eating raw in salads due to its fine flavour but it is also delicious steamed. This spinach is particularly suited to autumn and winter cultivation and will keep you picking right through the coldest months of the year. Each packet contains approximately 1700 seeds. Organic 'Verdil' Seeds

Sowing schedule: Sow under cover in March or direct outdoors from April to mid-September. Sow indoors in September and October once temperatures inside have dropped. ‘Verdil’ spinach is prone to bolting in warm, dry conditions and so cultivation over the cooler months is preferable. 

Sowing depth: 1cm

Planting distance: 15 x 30cm

Growing conditions: ‘Verdil’ spinach prefers cooler temperatures and grows best in fertile, moist, well-drained soil with a neutral pH. Keep well watered in dry conditions.

Number of seeds: Each packet contains approximately 1700 seeds, enough to cover 10m².
