PRIVACY STATEMENT

Here at Veyranno Ltd t/a Fruit Hill Farm we value our customers and understand your privacy is very important to you.  This privacy statement attempts to sets out in plain terms, how Fruit Hill Farm uses and protects any information that you give to us. Fruit Hill Farm is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that we are fully compliant with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

When you use this website, we will ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified and you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Fruit Hill Farm may change this statement from time to time and will update this page. You should check this page occasionally to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

We collect information for 2 reasons:

  • To process a sales order that you placed (contractual necessity)

  • At your request, to send you relevant newsletters (consent)

We will only contact you if there is a problem with your order or if you have requested to receive our newsletter.

WHAT WE COLLECT

We may collect the following information when you place an order on the website:

  • Name

  • Billing Address

  • Shipping address

  • Telephone numbers

  • Email address

  • IP address

  • Other information relevant to customer offers (e.g. college name if signing up for student offers)

WHERE WE STORE IT

The information is stored on our web server.  Printed copies of invoices containing your personal information are used in our warehouse and office so that your order can be packed and shipped to you.  These paper copies are then stored in our office in locked cabinets.

PAYMENT DATA

Payments online go through a third party (Global Payments) and we have no access to your card numbers.  If a customer orders via phone, card numbers are entered into the Global Payments terminal and any paper notes are immediately destroyed.  Card numbers are never retained on this payment system unless a customer specifically requests it. If numbers are retained, staff cannot access card numbers but can only take payments but strictly by the request of the customer.

EMAIL MESSAGES

We use Gmail for email correspondence and these emails are hosted by Google.  They are not stored on computers in our office. We have a policy of NOT printing emails. On the rare occasion that an email is printed, it is deleted unless it is required as proof of request for goods or services from a customer.

RETENTION

Paper copies of invoices are retained for 6 years as required by Revenue and then destroyed.

Emails are stored on Gmail for a maximum of 6 years and then permanently deleted.

SECURITY

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

HOW WE USE COOKIES

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

The most recent product you have viewed.

NEWMESSAGE

Indicates whether a new message has been received.

NO_CACHE

Indicates whether it is allowed to use cache.

PERSISTENT_SHOPPING_CART

A link to information about your cart and viewing history if you have asked the site.

POLL

The ID of any polls you have recently voted in.

POLLN

Information on what polls you have voted on.

RECENTLYCOMPARED

The items that you have recently compared.

STF

Information on products you have emailed to friends.

STORE

The store view or language you have selected.

USER_ALLOWED_SAVE_COOKIE

Indicates whether a customer allowed to use cookies.

An encrypted list of products added to your Wishlist.

NEWSLETTER PRIVACY STATEMENT

Our newsletters are sent out using a software called Mailchimp.

You – the contact who has signed up - can continue to update your own data, too, by contacting us or choosing to update your preferences in any email you receive from us.

When you sign up your information is stored in our Mailchimp account on our newsletter list and your email address is used to send you out a newsletter 1-2 times a month.
