WHY WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

We will only contact you if there is a problem with your order or if you have requested to receive our newsletter. We collect information for 2 reasons:

  • To process a sales order that you placed (contractual necessity)
  • At your request, to send you relevant newsletters (consent)
WHAT WE COLLECT

We may collect the following information when you place an order on the website:

  • Name
  • Billing Address
  • Shipping address
  • Telephone numbers

WHERE WE STORE IT

The information is stored on our web server. Printed copies of invoices containing your personal information are used in our warehouse and office so that your order can be packed and shipped to you. These paper copies are then stored in our office in locked cabinets.

PAYMENT DATA

Payments online go through a third party (Global Payments) and we have no access to your card numbers. If a customer orders via phone, card numbers are entered into the Global Payments terminal and any paper notes are immediately destroyed. Card numbers are never retained on this payment system unless a customer specifically requests it. If numbers are retained, staff cannot access card numbers but can only take payments but strictly by the request of the customer.

EMAIL MESSAGES

We use Gmail for email correspondence and these emails are hosted by Google. They are not stored on computers in our office. We have a policy of NOT printing emails. On the rare occasion that an email is printed, it is deleted unless it is required as proof of request for goods or services from a customer.

RETENTION

Paper copies of invoices are retained for 6 years as required by Revenue and then destroyed. Emails are stored on Gmail for a maximum of 6 years and then permanently deleted.
