Agriton Actiferm 20L - Bag in Box

Actiferm contains a mix Effective Microorganisms (EM®) which when added to the organic matter work by way of competitive exclusion. This means they outcompete other microbes. This works well when used on cattle manure & straw bedding which as an ideal C:N ratio of roughly 20:1. Applying Actiferm to straw cattle bedding once per week can help to reduce odours while also improving its water holding capacity.

For Animal bedding and Farmyard manure

Apply at a rate of 2L per 1 ton of farmyard manure (best applied with a knapsack sprayer)
When its time to muck out, mix well and cover with a sheet. Leave for 8-12 weeks minimum.

For Seed soaking - to boost immunity and growth 

Mix 1 part Actiferm to 20 parts clean water (rain or dechlorinated) in a clean container.

Submerge seeds in solution.

Small seeds (lettuce, radish, herbs): 30 minutes
Medium seeds (tomatoes, beans, peas): 60 minutes
Large seeds (corn, squash, pumpkins): 1–2 hours

Strain seeds and sow immediately

 Do not oversoak seeds, you can add 1tsp of vinasse to improve microbial activity

Other  Usage Recommendations:

Garden and Soil Care: Dilute Actiferm at a ratio of 1/100 (e.g., 10 ml to 1 litre of water) and spray on soil and plants. Apply before rainfall, dividing the recommended amount over multiple sessions. The guideline is 1 to 2 litres of diluted Actiferm per 100m² per year.

Boxwood Disease (Buxus): Combat buxus disease by spraying Actiferm (1/100 diluted with water) before every rain. Repeat spraying in April/May and September for preventive treatment.

Pond Treatment: Maintain the natural balance in your pond by using 1 litre of Actiferm per year per 1 m³, administering it in phased doses.

Henhouse/Pigeon House: Regularly spray Actiferm in the henhouse or pigeon house to efficiently convert manure and neutralize odours. Use 100 ml of Actiferm on 10 litres of water for optimal results.

Odour Neutralization: In the henhouse, apply 1 litre of Actiferm per m² per year or spray 1.5 litres of the solution (5/100) 2 to 3 times a week over the floor of the house (9 m²).
