Balansa Clover (Trifolium michelianum) Conventional Untreated Seed

As well as being winter hardy, balansa clover also has a deep tap root which will improve soil structure and drainage. Like other annual clovers, it can be mixed with annual or short term grasses such as westerwolds ryegrass for a producing fodder and biomass quickly. 

Special Features:

  • White to pink flowers in early summer which are loved by bees.
  • Can tolerate a variety of soils.

Management:

  • Usually only cut once but can tolerate one high cut when young if necessary for weed control.
  • 6 month lifespan.
