Organic Chervil (Anthriscus cerefolium) Seeds
Characteristics:
- Biennial, often grown as an annual
- Height: 30cm
Growing schedule: Sow indoors in pots in March or direct outside from April to June for harvesting later in the same year. Sow in July and August either in a polytunnel or outdoors for overwintering plants that will flower the following spring. Plants grown outside may require some protection from the elements over the winter months.
Sowing depth: Cover only very lightly with soil as chervil seeds need light to germinate.
Planting distance: 30 x 10cm.
Growing conditions: Chervil prefers partial shade and moist, fairly rich, well-draining soil. Keep well-watered in hot, dry weather as it has a tendency to bolt.
