Gee-up Horse Manure in Bulk

*While bulk bags provide the best value for money, please consider the delivery and handling requirements for such a large quantity. Delivery is made by a rigid truck, and your address must be accessible for a vehicle of this size (12m long, 2.5m wide, and 4m tall). The trucks are equipped with a tail lift and a hand-operated pallet truck, meaning the pallet can only be dropped from the back of the vehicle. Due to the weight of the bags, the driver may not be able to move the pallet further unless the drop-off point is a level concrete yard or a similar surface. Delivery typically takes 3-4 working days. Please talk to us before ordering if you are not sure.

Gee-up application

• Mulching: 1 cubic metre (1m³) covers 12.5 square metres to a depth of approximately 7.5 centimetres
• Mixing: Can be working in to the top layer of the soil with a fork 
• When planting: Mix some Gee-up with soil at the base of the planting hole
• pH neutral (7.0)
• will not 'burn' plants

How Gee-up is made

Manure is taken from local riding stables near the facililty in Blarney and composted in wind rows. The bedding which is composed mainly of woodchips is part of the mix and gives a balanced C:N ratio. The volume of material insures that high temperatures well above 60°C are reached to kill any weed seeds that might be present. 

It is then barn dried before being sieved to remove any large particles. Each batch is composted separtely and tested by growing seedlings to check for any signs of Aminopyralid or similar chemical residues before it is released.
