Perennial Ryegrass Diploid 'Toddington'
Perennial ryegrass is the major forage grass used in Ireland. This is because of its high yield (with sufficient fertility) and its palatability to livestock. It has been a main focus of grass breeding for many decade so many varieties exist.

- It has very good first cut yield.
- A late variety.
- Good resistance to leaf spot and rust.

Management:
- Requires good fertility and moisture to perform well.
- Vigorous grass which is suitable for overseeding.
- Management will depend largely on the type of sward it is included with - perennial ryegrass makes quality grazing as well as silage.
