Swede (Brassica napus) 'Lomond' is a hardy forage that provides high energy winter feed. Can be strip grazed or lifted for storage. Swedes are better than turnips for frost hardiness and keeping quality. Conventional untreated seed. Price is per kg.

Fodder Swede 'Lomond' Seed 

  • High fresh and dry yields make this variety ideal for finishing lambs
  • Good resistance to both powdery mildew and clubroot
  • Very frost tolerant and can provide forage late into the winter/early spring
  • Takes longer to establish and fill up than stubble turnips - needs to be sown early
  • Can be combined with Kale in a mix
