Sweet William

Sweet Williams are a classic cottage garden flower, producing fragrant pink and white blooms in the second year. As well as bringing colour to garden borders, they are an ideal long-lasting cut flower. This seed is suitable for professional flower growers. Each packet contains 300 organic seeds, enough for 200 plants. More details below.

 

 

Organic Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus) Seeds

  • Characteristics: Biennial or short-lived perennial
  • Colour mix: dark pink, light pink and white
  • Height: 50 - 60cm

Growing schedule: Sow from April to July for flowering the following summer.

Sowing depth: Sow seeds 0.5 - 1cm deep.

Planting distance: 30 x 30cm.

Growing Conditions: Sweet William grows well in full sun to partial shade in rich, loamy, well-draining soil.

Ongoing care: After flowering, plants can be split and replanted.
