Organic 'Smaragd' Savoy Cabbage Seeds
Growing schedule: Sow in modules in late April to mid May and transplant outdoors (after hardening off) in May and June. Harvest over the Autumn and into Winter.
Sowing depth: 1cm
Germination: Savoy Cabbage will germinate between 7-29°C, with 15-20°C the optimal temperature range.
Planting distance: 50 x 60 cm
Growing conditions: Savoy Cabbage grow best in full sun (but will tolerate some shade) and prefer fertile, moist, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter. Brassicas can tolerate a slightly alkaline pH - add lime to particularly acidic soil, especially where clubroot might be an issue.
Crop rotation: Savoy Cabbages are brassicas and should be grouped in planting rotation plans with other members of the Brassicaceae family such as kale, broccoli, kohlrabi, rocket, turnip, mustard leaf and radish.
Number of seeds: Each packet contains 0.22g of organic seed enough for 40 plants.
