Organic 'Cocarde' Lettuce Seeds
Growing schedule: Sow under cover from March or direct outside from April to July. Sow successively for continuous cropping.
Sowing depth: Cover with only a thin layer of soil as lettuce seeds need light to germinate.
Germination: Ideal germination temperature is 10-15 °C, max. 18 °C.
Planting distances: 30 x 30cm
Growing conditions: Lettuce doesn’t do well in high temperatures – it enjoys full sun, but may benefit from partial shade in the hotter months of the year. It grows best in moist, well-draining soil.
Harvest: Cut at 10cm high for baby leaf or allow to grow. For ‘cut-and-come-again’ salad leaves, pick the outer leaves and the plant will continue to grow from the centre. Regular harvesting is recommended to keep leaves tender.
Number of Seeds: Each packet contains 1g approximately 900 organic seeds, enough for 30m².
