'Mesclun' is a traditional, versatile mixture of loose-leaf varieties from France. Varieties included are Red Salad Bowl lettuce, Green Oak Leaf lettuce, Endive, Garden lettuce, Rocket, Staghorn Plantain, and Batavia Lettuce. This is an excellent mix for baby leaf production. Each packet contains 1.25g of organic seed. More details below.

Organic 'Mesclun' Lettuce seeds
Growing schedule: Sow in March for growing indoors; or from April to August for outdoor cultivation. Sow successively for continuous cropping.
Sowing depth: Cover with only a thin layer of soil as lettuce seeds need light to germinate.
Germination: Ideal germination temperature is 10-15°C, 7 -10 days.
Planting distance: 20cm between plants; 25cm between rows
Growing conditions: Lettuce doesn’t do well in high temperatures – it enjoys full sun, but may benefit from partial shade in the hotter months of the year. It grows best in moist, well-draining soil.
Harvest: Cut at 10cm high for baby leaf.
Number of seeds: Each pack contains 1.25g of organic seed.
