Lettuce 'Mixture'

This is a mixture of mild lettuce varieties with a range of different colours, shapes and textures. It contains Lollo Rossa, Lollo Bionda, Reine de Glaces and other compatible loose-leaf lettuces. In contrast with our other salad 'Mesclun' mix, this mix contains only lettuce and no brassicas. Each packet contains 1.25g of organic seed. More details below.

Organic Lettuce 'Mixture' Seeds
Growing schedule: Sow under cover from mid-February for growing on indoors; or from April to July for outdoor cultivation. For a late crop, sow in late summer and grow on indoors. Sow successively for continuous cropping.
Sowing depth: Cover with only a thin layer of soil as lettuce seeds need light to germinate.
Germination: Ideal germination temperature is 10-15 °C, 7 -10 days
Planting distance: 20cm between plants; 25cm between rows
Growing conditions: Lettuce doesn’t do well in high temperatures – it enjoys full sun, but may benefit from partial shade in the hotter months of the year. It grows best in moist, well-draining soil.
Harvest: For baby leaf, harvest from 10cm.
Number of seeds: Each pack contains 1.25g of organic seed.
