Organic Broad Bean 'Aquadulce' seeds

Growing schedule: Direct sow from October to November or from February to March. Sow some extra in pots to fill any gaps.

Sowing depth: 5-8 cm

Germination: Seeds germinate between 5 -10°C in around 7 -10 days.

Planting distance: 10 - 15cm between plants; 60cm between rows

Growing conditions: Broad beans are a cool weather legume – they cope well with cooler conditions and will struggle in high temperatures. They prefer a sunny, sheltered position with reasonably fertile, moist, free-draining soil. In very wet or clay soil conditions, starting off seeds in pots may give better results.

Harvest: Seeds sown the previous Autumn will be ready from early May on; spring-sown beans from June to mid August.

Number of seeds: Each pack contains 50g of organic seed.
