Organic 'Ratio' Broad Bean Seeds

Growing schedule: Direct sow from late February to late April. Sow some extra in pots to fill any gaps.

Sowing depth: 5cm

Planting distance: 15-20cm between plants; 40-60cm between rows

Growing conditions: Broad beans are a cool weather legume – they cope well with cooler conditions and will struggle in high temperatures. They prefer a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, moist, free-draining soil. In very wet or clay soil conditions, starting off seeds in pots may give better results.

Ongoing care: Plants may need some support, especially in windy areas. Plant in blocks with a stake at each corner and string between the stakes.

Number of seeds: Each packet contains approximately 35 organic seeds, enough for 25 plants.
