The elegant Freesia flowers are a member of the Iris family, they have bell-shaped and bright petals, ranging through mauve, orange, yellow and white to cerise. They are also sweet smelling and fragrant. These perennials love sunshine or partial shade is okay, they are planted out in spring and flower in summer. Freesia colour mix looks fantastic in pots or garden borders.

Organic Freesia Planting and Care Instructions
Plant your freesia bulbs in early spring and grow on in frost-free conditions or plant straight outside April/May after risk of frost has passed. Over the course of a few years, these perennials will multiply rapidly, forming dense clumps, or masses. The plants can get overcrowded. It is best to dig up the bulbs, and separate them every 2-3 years.
- Grow in borders or containers in full sun
- Plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep
- Space the bulbs about 10-15cm apart
- Plant with the pointed side facing upwards
- Water-in after planting and keep hydrated while in growth
