Sunflower 'Pradomio'

Sunflower is well known for its bright yellow flowers which follow the sun. Pradomio is a non-branching variety which will grow up to 2 m, if started early.  It is attractive to pollinators with golden yellow petals and dark centres.  The seed heads are very attractive to small birds if left in the field after flowering. Each packet contains approximately 1.5g organic seeds. More details below.

Flower colour: yellow with dark centres

Flower size: around 20cm in diameter

Height: up to 1.7m

Growing schedule: Sow sunflower seeds from February to March under cover for early flowers. Sow direct outside from mid-April to mid-May. Flowers will bloom between July and October.

Sowing depth: 2-3cm

Planting distance: 40 x 40cm

Growing conditions: Sunflowers need rich moist soil and a sunny place in the garden.

Ongoing care: Sunflowers may need staking as they grow taller.

Number of seeds: Each packet contains approximately 1.5g organic seed
