Organic 'Monarch' Celeriac Seeds

Sowing schedule: Sow under cover in March (with heat) and transplant outside in May to early June.  Celeriac has a long growing season so needs to be started early. However, planting too early may cause crops to bolt.

Sowing depth: Celeriac needs light to germinate so only cover lightly with soil.

Germination: The seeds need a temperature of 18 - 25°C to germinate so it is recommended to use a heat mat or propagator.

Planting distance: 40 x 40 cm

Growing conditions: Celeriac prefer full sun but can manage in partial shade. It requires fertile, consistently moist soil.

Ongoing care: Ridge up as they grow and do not let them dry them out.

Harvest: Harvest celeriac from November to March. The longer they stay in the ground, the stronger the flavour.

Number of seeds: Each packet contains approximately 0.25g organic seed
