Lovage
Lovage herb (Levisticum officinalis) is a hardy perennial herb with tall, leafy stems and a rich, celery-like flavour. This easy to grow perennial returns reliably each year. Both leaves and stems make a flavourful addition to soups, stocks, and salads, while the seeds can be used as a spice. Each packets contains 1.25g of organic seed. More details below.

Growing schedule: Sow indoors from March or direct outdoors from late April to July. Sow in modules or direct where it is to grow as lovage doesn’t like root disturbance.
Sowing depth: 1cm
Planting distance: 40 x 50cm
Growing conditions: Lovage likes full sun and rich, well-draining soil. It is fairly tolerant of both drought and light frost.
Ongoing care: Cut back dead foliage at the end of the growing season. It will sprout back from the base in the spring.
