Thatch above the soil as matted layer of roots, stems, flat-growing weeds and clippings is removed to aerate the lawn anew. Freeing the lawn from moss, clippings and flat-growing weeds regenerates the grasses to the effect that air, water and nutrients can penetrate the soil again. The layer of grass becomes healthier, more resilient and, thus, more beautiful.
