Yarrow
Yarrow is a well-known medicinal herb that flowers from the 2nd year onwards. It is used in biodynamic preparation - Compost 502. Yarrow stalks are also used for the I Ching. Choose its final position carefully as yarrow spreads easily. Each packet contains 0.5g of organic seed. More details below.
Organic Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) Seeds
Characteristics:
- Perennial
- White flowers
- Height: up to 90cm
Growing schedule: Sow indoors from March or direct outdoors from late April to July. Sow in modules or direct where it is to grow.
Sowing depth: 1 cm
Planting distance: 40 x 50cm
Growing conditions: Yarrow likes full sun and well-draining soil. It is fairly tolerant of both drought and light frost.
Ongoing care: Cut back dead foliage at the end of the growing season. It will sprout back from the base in the spring. Position it carefully as yarrow tends to spread.
Number of seeds: Each packets contains 0.5g of organic seed.
