Broadfork/Biofork for breaking up the soil
The Biofork (or Broadfork) features 5 strong round tines - three are 245mm long and two are 260mm long. It is made from strong tubular steel alloy and can is used to break up and aerate the soil with minimal disturbance to the soil biology. When using this tool the profile of the soil is not inverted, the structure is maintained and water, air and biological organisms can penetrate the soil. This can't be achieved with a spade.
- The tines are made from a special steel alloy making soil penetration easier, even when some stones or roots are present.
