Dwarf French Bean 'Cupidon'

'Cupidon' is a bush bean that produces a huge number of tender dark green pods all summer, starting early, and continuing to crop well after the others have finished. It has very good flavour and can be used raw in salads. Each packet contains 50g of organic seed. More details below.

Organic Dwarf French Bean 'Cupidon' Seeds

Sowing schedule: Start seeds indoors from April or sow direct outside from late May onwards, once risk of frost has passed.  'Cupidon' can be sown as late as July for a late crop in September.

Sowing depth: 2-3cm 

Germination: Seeds usually germinate in 7 to 10 days.

Planting distance: 10-20cm between plants; 40-60cm between rows

Growing conditions: French beans prefer full sun and fairly light, moist, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter.

Crop rotation: ‘Cupidon’ should be grouped in planting rotation plans with other members of the Fabaceae (bean) family.

Harvest: Pick pods as soon as they form as the more you pick the more they will crop.  The tender green stringless beans are 10-15cm long and hang partly above the leaves for easy picking.

Number of seeds: Each packet contains 50g of organic seed, approximately 160 seeds.
