An environmentally friendly sealer for priming highly absorbent walls before painting with Dubron natural paints. More details below.
For advice regarding your painting or wood project call us on 02750710.
Non Toxic Primer
Grava sealer is used to prime slightly sandy, chalky or highly absorbent interior surfaces before painting with Dubron paints. Primer is usually not needed but in highly absorbent surfaces it can save you an extra coat of the more valuable paint. Just like Dubron, the sealer remains permeable to water vapor when completely dried and thus walls retain their capacity to breath.
Ingredients - Full Declaration - Water, linseed oil, isoaliphates, beeswax, methyl cellulose, larch resin, dammar resin, shellac, borax, silver chloride and ethanol.
Application
Preparation - Remove any dust and dirt. The surface should be clean, dry, and free of any greasy substances and mould. Small cracks can be filled with a wall filler.
Stir the concentrate thoroughly. As a general rule dilute 1 to 1 with lukewarm water. Add water gradually while stirring. Grava primer must be diluted until there is no visible film development after the application. Please do a test application on the surface to be treated. For highly absorbent surfaces such as clay, or lime plaster, apply Grava either undiluted, or slightly diluted with water (20%). Use a wide brush or wallpaper brush to apply.
Coverage - 1 litre is sufficient for approximately 34m², i.e. 29 ml/m². This could be somewhat less, or more, depending on the condition and absorbency of the surface. Always do a test application first!
Cleaning Up - Clean equipment immediately after use with warm water and Latis 558 Tool Cleaner.
