Natural Linseed Based Sealer

A natural oil and resin containing treatment for interior solid timber such as floors, stairs, doors and window frames. Kunos oil reinforces and deepens the natural colour of the wood grain whilst producing a water resistant protective layer. The advantage of Kunos is that these qualities can be achieved with a single product - no need for a seperate primer. It is also excellent for the renovation of wood and is safe for toys.

White - Light timbers like pine will darken and yellow somewhat when treated with linseed oil. If this effect is not desired, using Kunos with the white pigment will counteract this affect and keep the wood tone similar to its untreated shade.

Ingredients - Depending on colour in different proportions: Linseed oil, linseed oil - stand oil - natural resin ester, linseed oil - wood oil - stand oil, highly transparent iron oxides, titanium dioxide, natural resin glycerol ester, linseed oil - stand oil, orange oil, isoaliphates, silicic acid, micronized wax, pine oil, rosemary oil, dehydrated amino sugar and drying agents free of lead (Ca, Co, Mn, Zr).

Application

Coverage - The coverage will depend on the wood and how well it is prepared and sanded. It is always advisable to determine by doing a test application but the following is a good guidline: 1 liter will cover approximately 22 m² on the first coat with the second coat covering around 90 m² and the third 250 m².

A generous first coating is applied and allowed to stand for 15 minutes before being polished with a lint free cloth and the excess removed. A second more sparse coat is applied the same way. The third coad requires just a few drops which can be polished in immediately.

Kunos 244 on Pine - On softer woods like pines and plywood the resulting colour is stronger as these woods have a more open structure so absorb more pigment.
