Organic Chive seeds for Microgreens
One of the most visually appealing crops to grow, chives have a slender shape and look like miniature scallions when grown, with a fantastic onion flavour. Chive Microgreens are ideal for using as a garnish, and for sprinkling on top of dishes, adding a lovely green colour. They can make an interesting addition to any sandwich or wrap, adding a lovely fresh onion taste. They can also be blended into sauces, or added to pasta dishes, stews, soups and salads. Also great when combined with other herbs.

How To Grow:
- Fill a tray with compost. Firm into tray and moisten the soil.

- Sprinkle the seeds thinly and evenly on top of moistened soil or compost.
- Cover your crop with another tray or a plate to keep light out and moisture in.

- When leaves are showing, remove the lid and move your crop to a well lit location.

Harvesting:
When you are happy with your crop then cut your greens close to the compost and gently rinse off any compost. Chives, once cut, can keep up to 6 days when stored in a sealed container in the fridge.

- Rinse and soak the seeds in clean water for 10 hours.
- Drain and rinse the seeds and put them in your sprouting tray or jar.
- Rinse the seeds twice daily. Drain water completely after each rinse
- Chive sprouts are slower than other sprouts but should be ready within 10-15 days.
