Chelating Agent
Mobiliser HF is a natural soluble chelating agent. It contains fulvic (19%) and humic (1%) substances which act as a biostimulant to enhance root and shoot development as well as the nutrient uptake of plants. It is derived from Dutch groundwater which is extracted from a depth of 300m. In the process of making the water potable, fulvic and humic substances are removed using a non chemical and foodgrade process.
- Makes minerals that are locked up in the soil available to plants by chelation.
- Can be mixed with foliar feeds to increase nutrient uptake.
- Stimulates soil life.
- Stimulates enzymatic processes within plants which increases photosynthesis and promotes more tolerance to abiotic stress.
- Very high CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity) promotes absorption and transport of nutrients.
- Approved for use in organic agrictulture.
Dosage
- Foliar 1%, or 2L/ha
- Coating Seeds 10%
- Field Application 20L/ha
- Row Application 10L/ha
Chelated Nutrients
The word 'chelate' is derived from the Greek word for 'claw'. When talking about plant nutrients or fetilizers it refers to when inorganic nutrients become enclosed or 'coated' in organic molecules. Unlike the inorganic nutrient, these organic coatings are taken up by the plant readily and the enclosed nutrient, for example an iron or zinc molecule, is then released inside the plant.
Chelates help mitigate against nutrient uptake problems in alkaline soils. If soil pH is high, iron, manganese, zinc and copper become insoluble and unavailable to plants. However, if they are chelated the plant can take up the nutrient.
