Organic Parsley Seed for Pastures

Parsley is a common forage herb, usually mixed with plantain, yarrow and burnet to increase diversity and lift trace elements from deep within the soil profile. It can be mixed with regular grassland species to increase grazing diversity.

Special Features:

  • Similarly to plantain, yarrow and burnet -  parsley's deep roots can lift minerals and trace elements from the soil profile. It is added to pastures to improve diversity and the diet of livestock.
  • High in iron and vitamins, parsley is noted for improving fertility in breeding animals.

Management:

  • Takes best in freshly prepared fine seedbed and shallowly sown and rolled.
  • Parsley is not so tolerant to heavy grazing or poaching. Minimizing these will help keep the species in the sward longer.
