'Vire' Field/Fava Beans
'Vire' is a Finnish variety of field bean and it has a short growing season. Harvest can happen in the 3rd week of August. This make this variety suitable for intercrop cultivation with wheat or peas.
- Very fast development and gives a high yield, for example 4.2tonne/ha at Oakpark
- High in Protein and low in vicine-convicine, ideal for combining
- Short variety with small seeds and good lodging resistance
- Chocolate spot and Ascochyta resistance
- Can fix up to 40kg of N per ha
