- Agricultural Sowing Time: Sep-Oct (mid-Oct is the ideal time)
- Seeding Rate: 30 seeds /m²
- Sow depth: 6-8cm
- Tip: Make sure to sow deep (6 - 8 cm) so that the winter broad bean can develop a strong taproot and thus go into winter dormancy at the 4 - 6 leaf stage
- A high protein crop suited to the Irish climate which can be used to reduce dependence on imported feed
