Pastures with a diverse mixture of species provide numerous benefits. Clovers and other legumes produce nitrogen and high protein feed. The high percentage of Festololium, Timothy and Meadow Fescue in the 4.3 mix provide resilience to colder and damper soils and they improve soil stucture. A balanced mixture with a good variety of grasses, clovers and herbs will fill the ecological niches of the pasture. This makes them higher yielding than monocultures and better at keeping weeds out
