Organic 'Granat' Chinese Cabbage Seeds
Growing schedule: Sow for outdoor cultivation from mid-July to early August. Early sowing is at greater risk of bolting. Sow successively every couple of weeks as 'Granat' is best eaten fresh.
Sowing depth: 1cm
Planting distance: 40 x 35 cm
Growing conditions: Cabbage grows best in full sun but can tolerate some light shade. It prefers fertile, moist, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter. Cabbage can tolerate a slightly alkaline pH - add lime to particularly acidic soil.
Crop rotation: Cabbage is a brassica and should be grouped in planting rotation plans with other members of the Brassicaceae family such as kale, broccoli, kohlrabi, rocket, turnip, mustard leaf and radish.
Ongoing care: Use fine insect netting or try our garlic concentrate where flea beetles might be an issue. Flea beetles are particular fond of the tender Chinese cabbage leaves!
Number of seeds: Each packet contains 0.5g of organic seed.
