Cabbage 'Rodynda'
‘Rodynda KS’ is a vigorous red cabbage variety producing dense, oval heads with short internal stems and strong roots. Its flavour is sweet and mild, making this variety well-suited to eating raw. ‘Rodynda KS’ cabbages store well. Each packet contains 0.5g of organic seed. More details below.

Growing schedule: Sow in modules February to mid-May for planting outdoors (after hardening off) from April.
Sowing depth: 1cm
Germination: Cabbage will germinate between 7-29°C, with 15-20°C the optimal temperature range.
Planting distance: 50 x 60 cm
Growing conditions: Cabbage grows best in full sun but can tolerate some light shade. It prefers fertile, moist, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter. Cabbage can tolerate a slightly alkaline pH - add lime to particularly acidic soil, especially where clubroot might be an issue.
Crop rotation: Cabbage is a brassica and should be grouped in planting rotation plans with other members of the Brassicaceae family such as kale, broccoli, kohlrabi, rocket, turnip, mustard leaf and radish.
