Pea 'Daniel O'Rourke'

€3.95

This Irish heritage, garden pea variety, was originally saved in the Russian gene bank and repatriated to Ireland by the Irish Seeds Savers Association. ‘Daniel O Rourke’ is a great all rounder producing high yields of small pods and sweet, tasty peas, delicious when eaten young. These peas can also be left to mature and dry off to be used as a soup pea in winter. The plants have good disease resistance and can grow quite tall (2m) so a strong support is required. Each pack contains 70 seeds. More details below

Growing schedule: Sow pea seeds direct outside from March to early July for harvesting from June through September.

Sowing depth: 4-5cm

Planting distance: 3cm between plants with 30-45 cm between rows; or double rows (with support) 60-80 cm apart
