Organic Aster ageratoides 'Asran' or 'Wild Aster'
This flower is a classic 'cottage garden' favourite. It is a clump-forming perennial with clusters of pale purple-blue, daisy-like flowers with yellow centres and green deciduous leaves. These delicate flowers are at their best during late summer to early autumn and provide the bees and butterflies with food when other flowers are dying off. It also makes a nice cut or dried flower. This is a hardy perennial and it will grow in almost any soil and situation, although most do best in full sun or partial shade. Many Asters can tolerate drought much better than wet so best to grown in well drained soil.
