Fennel Herb
Fennel herb (Foeniculum vulgare) is a perennial herb with delicate branching fronds and a strong anise flavour. Its feathery leaves, flowers and seeds can be used for both medicinal and culinary purposes. Each packet contains 2.5g of organic seed. More details below.

Growing schedule: Sow indoors from March or direct outdoors from late April to July. Sow in modules or direct where it is to grow as fennel doesn’t like root disturbance.
Sowing depth: 1cm
Planting distance: 40 x 50cm
Growing conditions: Fennel likes full sun and well-draining soil. It is fairly tolerant of both drought and light frost.
Ongoing care: Cut back dead foliage at the end of the growing season. It will sprout back from the base in the spring.
Number of seeds: Each packets contains 2.5g of organic seed.
