Sanlight EVO Series 1.5 LED Grow Light Set

The EVO-series 1.5 is the latest development in LED grow lights from SANlight - a powerful and highly efficient light. Perfect for the all-year-round production of microgreens, wheatgrass and salads as well as propagation of plants (tomatoes, cucumbers etc.) in early spring for planting in a greenhouse. The light emits a full spectrum wavelength of between 400 - 780nm. Very close to sunlight, this is the light range plants use for photosynthesis and therefore the SANlight EVO is suitable for all stages of propagation from vegetative to generative.

This set includes everything for a 60cm x 60cm cultivation area. Sets also available for areas 80cm x 80cm, 100cm x 100cm, 120cm x 120cm and 150cm x 150cm. Please contact us to order those.

In the development of the EVO series, the protective and light-directing secondary optics were optimized to the geometric dimensions of the luminaire. This results in an incredibly homogeneous illumination with the best light intensity (PPFD). The asymmetric secondary optics also minimize photon transport losses to the plants and protect the Leds from the environmental influences to which the luminaire is exposed during plant cultivation. Sulfur and other chemical substances cannot penetrate to the LED. Thus, oxidation of the led chip reflector is prevented. The optics can be easily cleaned. The protection and the possibility of cleaning guarantee you a constant light output for many years.

The height to hang the light and resultant area covered depends on a number of factors. The main considerations are the type of plants grown and whether there will be any natural light in the growing area. For example, microgreens, lettuce, herbs and wheatgrass have moderate light demands (250 - 300μmol/m²/s) whilst greenhouse crops like tomatoes and chillies require more (400 - 500 μmol/m²/s). A dark growing room will require more help from the light than a bright polytunnel or glasshouse exposed to full daylight.
