Natural Exterior Timber Stain

Donnos 223 is a safe and environmentally friendly wood stain and protector for fences and other outdoor structures. It is formulated for rough sawn woods which don't receive friction or foot traffic. As such, it is very easy to apply as it doesn't require sanding between coats and is excellent for fences, raised beds, outdoor toys, barns and wooden frameworks. Coatings stay permanently elastic, therefore there is no chipping or peeling off. Deeper coloured shades such as dark brown provide the best UV protection. Click here for colour chart.

Ingredients - As with all Livos products, all ingredients are explicitly listed for scrutiny. Depending on the colour: Isoaliphates, linseed oil, natural resin ester, linseed oil - stand oil,  mineral pigments, titan dioxide, chalk, castor oil, micronized wax, silicic acid, orange oil, wintergreen oil, soya lecithin, citron oil, pine oil, dehydrated amino sugar, and drying agents free of lead (Ca, Co, Zr).

Applying Wood Stain

Coverage - The coverage will vary depending on the type and finish of the wood. On average, 1 liter will cover 10-15 m². Coverage will be less on rough or soft timber and more on sanded or hard timber. A test application will determine for sure. To achieve a water-repellent and weather resistant surface, apply 3 coats allowing 24 to 48 hours between each application.

Preparation – The surface should be dry and free of dust. Stir Donnos thoroughly befor use. Apply with a brush in the direction of the wood grain on a dry day. For technical data and more specific application advice please click HERE.

Cleaning Up -  SVALOS 222 Thinner is ideal for cleaning brushes and rollers which should be done immediately after use.
