Organic 'Helda' Flat Podded Climbing Bean Seeds

Growing schedule: Sow under cover from early May or in situ from late May (once all risk of frost has passed) until June.

Sowing depth: 2-3cm

Planting distance: 50 x 30-40cm; or double rows 50cm apart with 120-150cm paths

Growing conditions: Climbing beans will need staking and do best in a sunny, sheltered spot away from strong winds.  They prefer fairly light, moist, well-draining soil with plenty of organic matter.

Crop rotation: ‘Helda’ should be grouped in planting rotation plans with other members of the Fabaceae (bean) family.

Harvest: This is a long season variety and regular picking will keep the beans producing until the first frost.

Number of seeds: Each packet contains approximately 40 organic seeds, enough for around 30 plants.
