Organic Carrot Seeds for Microgreens
- Sprinkle the seeds over a tray of compost and press down gently.
- Cover with a fine layer of compost.
- It is advisable to use a micro biologically tested compost such as Klasmann Peat Free Seed Compost to ensure there is no ecoli present.
- Keep the seeds in complete darkness for the first 3 to 4 days.
- After the germanation period, keep at a steady temperature of about 20oC.
- Keep the compost moist (but not soaking).
- Carrot seeds are one of the slower seeds to germinate.
- Easy to grow, but patience is required.
- Cut after about three weeks (or when you are happy with your crop!)
