Red Rambo Radish for Sprouting Organic 250g

Organic Maize (Zea mays) Seed for Sprouting

Growing Time: 7-10 Days

Ideal Temperature: 20°C

Seeding Rate: 90 - 110 g per microgreen tray or 20 - 30g per small seed tray

Pre Soak: 8 Hours

How To Grow:

  • Fill a tray with compost. Firm into tray and moisten the soil.
  • It is advisable to use a micro biologically tested compost such as Klasmann Peat Free Seed Compost to ensure there are no pathogens present.
  • Soak the seeds for 8 hours. Rinse and drain the seeds well.
  • Sprinkle the seeds evenly over compost and press down gently and spray surface with water.
  • Cover with a fine layer of compost.
  • Cover seeds with another tray to keep in darkness for 5-8 days or until germination occurs.
  • Keep the compost moist – be careful not to over water though!
  • Keep in the dark to produce super sweet shoots. Exposure to light will cause corn microgreens to turn green, develop fibers and become bitter.
  • Should be ready after about a week.

Harvesting:

Harvest after about 7 days before fibrous leavest start to develop and when you are happy with your crop. Cut your shoots close to the compost and gently rinse off any compost. Microgreens can be stored in a container in the fridge to keep fresh.
