Events of Interest (June/July)

Farm Walks/Workshops at Byrne Biodiversity - Byrne Biodiversity is a consultancy and advisory service focused on managing landscapes to benefit nature, wildlife species, and pollinators. The organisation operates a research and innovation farm where specific ecological management practices are implemented. These include the planting and maintenance of native trees and hedgerows, cultivating crops for pollinators and wild birds, and applying water quality mitigation strategies. Additionally, the farm produces organic hay meadows with zero chemical use and minimal fertiliser application, demonstrating significant environmental benefits. The work conducted on the farm is recorded annually and consistently meets high standards, as noted by scientists and researchers. Byrne Biodiversity offers small, detailed farm walks on Saturday mornings during Summer and Winter, limited to ten participants to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their practices.
