Scallions / Bunching Onions 'Ischikrona' - Still holding the top spot after last year these were very popular! They are an excellent variety of fast growing bunching onion derived from Ishikura. Produce long white stems and dark green leaves. They have a fine mild flavour which makes them ideal for salads or stir frys.
Courgette 'Zuboda' - Non-trailing variety is an early and good cropper. Produces slightly marbled, long fruits.
Carrot Amsterdam - An early maturing carrot variety with sweet, slender, long roots. It is ideal for early and late season production under cover.
Lettuce Mix - This salad leaf mix contains varieties that have been chosen to have comparable growth rates and complementary flavours to provide interesting and tasty babyleaf salads.
Radish 'Sora' - A firm fleshed, crimson radish with a beautiful, round shape, medium long leaved. Sora remains crisp and tender for a long time even when it grows bigger.
Broadbean 'Hangdown' - A mid season hardy variety. 4-5 medium sized beans produced in long hanging pods. We now have 'Aquadulce' back in stock instead, a gardener's favourite. Aquadulce is the best broad bean for autumn sowing.
Rainbow Chard - A delicious and colourful mixture made up of four varieties of chard (yellow stemmed, red with green leaf, purple with green leaf and orange stemmed with red leaf).
Brocoli Calabrese - This dark green broccoli grows rapidly with a long harvesting window. Good dense heads.
Carrot 'Rodelika' -A strong growing and very flavoursome maincrop carrot which stores well. Strong, sweet aromatic taste.
Beetroot 'Robuschka' - Vigorous variety with a strong leaf. Round, smooth skinned, very good keeper with very uniformly dark red flesh. Pleasant fruity sweet flavour.
Coriander - A classic herb with many uses in the kitchen. Has a a distinctive citrusy taste.
Garden Pea 'Kelvedon Wonder' - An old variety which is still very popular. good fresh taste.
Asian Salad Mix - Contains four spicy salad varieties: Mizuna, 'Red Giant', 'Moutarde Rouge Metis' and 'Green in Snow'. These are all vigorous and easy to grow, and can provide a lovely variety of fresh nutritious greens throughout the winter months when other harvests are scarce.
Lettuce 'Little Gem' - Quick to mature, producing small compact lettuce hearts with sweet crisp leaves. It is slow to bolt in hot weather and has good resistance to root aphid.
Basil - A classic culinary herb. Often associated with Italian cuisine, it can be used for pesto, sauces or as a fresh aromatic garnish.
